Hands down, this is my greatest success story. Dr. Vera Rothschild (in her 80's) came to me about 6 years ago with several medical problems, and quite frankly, she scared me. My first thought was this is way over my head. She had a different thought. She needed someone to get her in shape so she could take a trip with her grandson, and I was the guy to do it. So "get to work mister", and I did.
So many things have changed since then. She walks 2 flights of stairs in her home and no longer needs the elevator. She can ride the stationery bike and get up to 25 MPH. She has the flexibility and core strength that people half her age would love to have. Against my wishes she is now back in high heels.
She travels and has the energy of someone in their 20's. I am still amazed at her progress and still enjoy putting the pressure on her 3 times a week. One of my most cherished moments is when she invited me to speak at her 80th birthday.
Here is a typical training session.

Here's what Dr. Vera Rothschild says about personal trainer Sam Strain.
Sam is my personal trainer for over 6 years. I was in my mid 70's when I started with Sam. After recent hip and back surgery, I was in barely acceptable physical shape. He not only brought me back in great condition but restored my physical stamina. I feel better today than I did 15-20 years ago. I look forward to my workout with him week after week. After only a few weeks of working with him, I told him that he has in me a client for life, and now 6 years later it still holds true.
